Appliance repair FAQ
Straight answers about pricing, scheduling and whether your appliance is worth fixing.
General questions
How much does appliance repair cost in Los Angeles?
Our diagnostic fee is $60. It covers the visit and diagnosis, and it's applied toward the repair if you go ahead. Your technician gives you an upfront quote for parts and labor, and nothing is repaired without your approval. Final cost depends on the part: a sensor or igniter costs far less than a compressor.
How quickly can you come out?
We typically offer appointments within one day, depending on availability. Call, text or book online to schedule.
What brands do you repair?
We repair LG, Samsung, Sub-Zero, Thermador, Wolf, Viking, Whirlpool, Frigidaire, Maytag, GE, Kenmore, Bosch and Electrolux. LG and Samsung are our specialty.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes. Every repair comes with a 90-day warranty on replacement parts and 30-day warranty on labor.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Zelle, Venmo, cash, checks, and credit and debit cards.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. APL Appliance Repair is licensed and insured.
How do I book a repair?
Call or text us, or use the booking form on our website. Repairs are by appointment, and we'll confirm a time with you.
What areas do you serve?
We serve Los Angeles including Koreatown, Hancock Park, Larchmont, Mid-Wilshire, Miracle Mile, Mid-City, Fairfax, Beverly Grove and nearby neighborhoods. Call us if you're not sure whether we cover your address.
Should I repair or replace my appliance?
A good rule of thumb: if the repair costs more than half the price of a new appliance and the appliance is past about half its expected life, replacing is often the better value. Otherwise, repair usually wins. We give you an honest recommendation either way.
What information should I have ready when I call?
The brand, the model number, and a short description of the problem (including any error code). The model number is usually on a sticker inside the fridge door, around the washer door or lid, on the edge of the dishwasher door, or behind the oven's bottom drawer.
My appliance is still under the manufacturer’s warranty. Should I call you?
Check with the manufacturer first, since they may cover the repair at no cost. If the warranty has expired or the manufacturer can’t come quickly, we’re happy to help.
